THUNDER 20, OAKLAND PAL 16

Game Two of the Oakland Winter League featured the Tri-City Thunder playing Oakland PAL. This time out, the Thunder had the luxury of a bench and something close to a full roster. The result was a hard-fought 20-16 win for the Thunder. Despite suffering from a cold shooting day, the Thunder played tremendous defense throughout and recieved a great team effort that saw every player contribute to the win. Richard Pabalate and Koby Silva led the balanced scoring attack with 5 points each, while Kristian Jordan added 4. After a back and forth first half, the Thunder led 11-8 at the halftime break. However, Oakland PAL surged out of the game in the opening minutes of the second period and grabbed a 13-11 advantage. At this point, the Thunder turned up the defensive pressure and began to force turnovers. The key sequence occurred late in the game, when Kristian Jordan blocked a shot, Jordan Aguana collected the loose ball and found a cutting Koby Silva for the decisive basket. With the win, the Thunder move to 1-1 in Winter League, as they continue to tune up for the Spring AAU season.

SCORING TOTALS
