In the championship game of the Team Esface December Jamboree, the Thunder would face the Foster City Flyers. Coming off a five hour break, the Thunder started sluggishly and trailed at the half by a 15-11 margin. In the second half, the troubles would continue as the club fell deeper behind and leading scorer Ramon Barragan fouled out with eight minutes remaining. Trailing by 11 with five minutes left, the Thunder began to fight back and made a furious comeback finally taking a 38-36 lead with 20 seconds left. The Flyers came down and missed their shot, and the Thunder secured a rebound, but the Flyers were able to tie up the ball and get a jump, with the possession arrow in their favor. This time, they would not fail as they drained a three point shot with four seconds left to lift the Flyers to a dramatic 39-38 win. Richard Pabalate led the Thunder with 15 points, while Tyler Lynch added 8 and Hekili Jordan scored 7 in the defeat. It was a disappointing loss for the Thunder, but showed that you need to play a complete game from start to finish and not try to only turn it on in the end. With the loss, the Thunder finished the day 2-1 and now their U13 season mark stands at 11-4.

Richard Pabalate - 15
Tyler Lynch - 8
Hekili Jordan - 7
Isaiah Washington - 5
Ramon Barragan - 3
